Peel Tower was erected in the memory of Sir Robert Peel, Prime Minister of Britain 1841-1846. There are photographic opportunities all around the tower but at least once a month the tower is opened to the public by volunteers and, after climbing the staircase, on a clear day you can see as far as Blackpool and Wales. Usually from 11.00am to 4.30pm (when the flag is flying) There is a small charge made but the views are magnificent.
Open days during 2020:- 16th February; 22nd March. (usually once per month, more dates to follow).
